At PG Mutual we have one goal
to protect the livelihoods and lifestyles of our members and their families if they are unable to work due to illness or injury.
We’ve been providing Income Protection since 1928. Back then, we were called Chemists’ Sickness and Provident Society Ltd, an income protection society started by pharmacists, for pharmacists. The idea was simple. Each member added money into a pot that any member could withdraw from to support themselves and their families if they fell ill or had an accident.
Today…
you don’t just need to be a pharmacist to benefit. We now look after professionals and workers across the world of animal and healthcare. You pay a monthly premium and if you’re unable to work through injury or illness you can claim until you’re well enough to return to work or you reach the age of 65. We now also offer additional support services to our members to help them live happier and healthier lives.
We specialise in the world we know and are constantly listening to doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, opticians, vets and a wide range of other animal and healthcare professionals whether they are full, part time or self-employed.
We’re also a Mutual Society. That’s good news for you.
As a not-for-profit, Mutual Society we only have policyholders, not shareholders. All our policyholders become members when they join us, and we are run for their benefit. Everything we do is with them in mind.
